- S235JR (material number 1.0038, formerly St37-2, equivalent to ASTM A36) — the standard mild steel grade for general construction and fabrication. Minimum yield strength of 235 MPa at thicknesses up to 16 mm, tensile strength 360–510 MPa, and minimum elongation of 26%. The JR impact designation guarantees 27 J at +20°C. S235JR is the default choice for secondary steelwork, purlin systems and light framing where high structural loads are not the governing design criterion.
- S355J2 (material number 1.0577, formerly St52-3, comparable to ASTM A572 Grade 50) — a higher-strength grade with minimum yield strength of 355 MPa, tensile strength 470–630 MPa and minimum elongation of 22%. The J2 designation ensures impact toughness of 27 J at -20°C, making S355J2 steel the preferred selection for primary load-bearing elements, crane support structures and applications in cold-climate environments.
Both grades offer excellent weldability with all standard arc welding processes and comply with CE marking requirements under the Construction Products Regulation. The controlled carbon equivalent (CEV) values ensure reliable welding performance in compliance with EN 1011-2.

- Forming properties — Cold-formed channels can be further processed by bending, punching, drilling and notching using standard workshop equipment. The work hardening at the bend corners increases local hardness and strength by approximately 10–15% compared to the flat portions of the profile.
