Our smooth aluminum sheet is available in standard formats of 1000x2000 mm, 1250x2500 mm and 1500x3000 mm, with thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 15 mm. Checker plate (tread plate, diamond plate) is available in 2 mm, 3 mm and 5 mm base thicknesses in both duett and quintett patterns — widely used for stair treads, floors and ramps where anti-slip performance is required.
We stock sheet in the following alloys: EN AW-1050A H24 (Al99,5 — excellent formability, electrical conductivity), EN AW-5052 H32 (AlMg2,5 — good strength, marine grade), EN AW-5754 H22/H111 (AlMg3 — superior corrosion resistance, weldable) and EN AW-6082 T6 for plate applications requiring higher mechanical strength. Mill test certificate 3.1 and protective film are available on request — please specify when ordering.

What aluminum sheet thicknesses does ULAMEX stock?
We stock smooth aluminum sheet from 0.5 mm to 6.0 mm in alloys 1050A, 5052 and 5754. Aluminum plate in EN AW-6082 T6 is available from 6.0 mm to 15.0 mm. Checker plate is stocked in 2 mm, 3 mm and 5 mm base thicknesses.
What is the difference between aluminum sheet and aluminum plate?
The distinction is based on thickness. Aluminum sheet typically refers to material up to approximately 6 mm, while plate refers to thicknesses above 6 mm. Sheet is used primarily for forming, cladding and enclosures, while plate is used for structural components, tooling and machined parts. Both are available from ULAMEX.
Which aluminum sheet is best for outdoor use?
EN AW-5754 (AlMg3) offers excellent corrosion resistance and is the preferred choice for outdoor and marine applications. EN AW-5052 provides a good balance of strength and corrosion performance for general exterior use. For decorative exterior applications, anodized sheet (available on request) provides additional protection and an attractive appearance.
What standard sheet sizes are available?
We stock aluminum sheet in standard formats of 1000x2000 mm, 1250x2500 mm and 1500x3000 mm. Custom sizes and cut blanks are available on request. Please specify your required dimensions when requesting a quote.
Can aluminum sheet be cut to custom dimensions?
Yes. We offer cutting to size for both sheet and plate. Please include the exact format (length x width), quantity and alloy in your inquiry. Cutting tolerances conform to standard practice for shear or saw cutting.
What is checker plate (tread plate) used for?
Aluminum checker plate features a raised pattern (duett or quintett) on one side, providing anti-slip properties. It is commonly used for stair treads, vehicle floors, ramps, loading platforms and decorative cladding. ULAMEX stocks checker plate in alloys 1050A and 5754, in base thicknesses of 2 mm, 3 mm and 5 mm.
Does ULAMEX also supply steel and stainless steel sheet?
Yes. In addition to aluminum, we offer steel sheet and plate in S235-S355 grades and stainless steel sheet in 1.4301 (304) and 1.4404 (316L). Aluminum profiles and aluminum pipes and rods complete our aluminum product range.
