Modern Fencing Profiles
Fence Posts, Slats and Cross-Rails for Modern Fence Construction
Our fence profile range covers every structural component needed to build a complete modern fencing system. Each profile type is designed for modular assembly using clip-and-screw connections -- no on-site welding is required.
System posts are available in square cross-sections of 60x60, 80x80 and 100x100 mm. The 80x80 mm post is the most widely used standard for residential fence projects, offering an optimal balance of rigidity and visual proportion. Posts for concrete embedding include pre-drilled anchor points, while bolt-down versions are fitted with base plates for mounting onto existing foundations or walls. Post heights typically range from 2,000 to 3,000 mm depending on fence height and underground embedding depth.
Horizontal slats (lamellae) form the visible face of the fence. Available widths include 80x20, 100x20, 120x20, 150x20 and 200x20 mm, allowing designers and contractors to create privacy fences with varying degrees of opacity. Wider slats (150-200 mm) with minimal spacing produce a near-solid Sichtschutz effect, while narrower slats (80-100 mm) with gaps offer a semi-transparent louvered appearance. All slats are supplied in lengths up to 6,000 mm.
Cross-rails in 40x20 and 60x20 mm profiles serve as horizontal mounting elements connecting posts and providing fixing points for slats. They are concealed behind the slat face for a clean exterior finish.
All profiles are available in standard aluminium extrusion profiles as well as powder-coated finishes in RAL 7016 (anthracite), RAL 9005 (black), RAL 7035 (light grey) and RAL 9006 (silver). Custom RAL colours are produced on request for wholesale volumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What post size should I use for my fence project?
The choice depends on fence height and exposure. For fences up to 1,800 mm, 60x60 mm posts are sufficient in sheltered locations. The 80x80 mm post is the universal standard suitable for most residential and commercial fences up to 2,200 mm. For tall privacy fences above 2,200 mm or exposed, high-wind locations, use 100x100 mm posts with deep concrete foundations.
What slat widths are available and how do they affect privacy?
ULAMEX supplies fence slats in 80, 100, 120, 150 and 200 mm widths. Wider slats with small gaps (5-10 mm) create a near-complete privacy screen. Narrower slats with wider gaps allow partial visibility and airflow, reducing wind load. The 100x20 mm and 150x20 mm slats are the most popular choices, offering a balanced combination of privacy and aesthetics.
Can fence profiles be cut to custom lengths?
Yes. While stock profiles are supplied in standard 6-metre lengths, ULAMEX can provide profiles cut to your specified dimensions. Contact us with your project requirements and we will prepare a quotation including cut-to-length profiles.
What is the difference between aluminum and steel fence profiles?
Aluminium profiles (EN AW-6063 T6) are lighter, inherently corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free. Steel profiles (S235JR) are heavier and more rigid, suitable for high-security or high-wind applications. Both are powder-coated in the same RAL palette and use the same mounting system, making them interchangeable within a project.
Are fence profiles available in colours other than anthracite?
Yes. In addition to RAL 7016 (anthracite), we stock RAL 9005 (black), RAL 7035 (grey) and RAL 9006 (silver). Any RAL colour can be produced on request for wholesale orders. Anthracite remains the dominant choice across European markets.
Does ULAMEX supply fence profiles with base plates for bolt-down installation?
Yes. Posts can be supplied with welded or bolt-on base plates for mounting onto concrete or masonry surfaces without embedding. Base plates, anchor bolts and matching mounting accessories are available from stock.
