Modern Fencing System
Aluminum Privacy Fences and Horizontal Slat Systems
A modern fence is more than a boundary -- it defines the character of a property while providing privacy, wind protection and security. ULAMEX modern fencing systems are manufactured from aluminium alloy EN AW-6063 T6, chosen specifically for fence construction due to its excellent corrosion resistance, formability and strength-to-weight ratio. All aluminium components are powder-coated to a minimum 60-micron polyester finish, ensuring UV stability, weather resistance and a maintenance-free surface for decades.
Our range covers the full spectrum of contemporary fence designs. Horizontal slat fences (also known as louvered fences) remain the most sought-after style, offering clean lines and adjustable privacy levels depending on slat spacing. Vertical slat configurations, palisade designs and mixed-orientation panels are equally available. Every system is engineered for self-assembly using a modular post-and-rail principle -- no welding, no special tools required on site.
For projects requiring a steel solution, we supply powder-coated steel fence panels and components that offer a heavier, more rigid alternative to aluminium. Both material lines share the same RAL colour palette and mounting system, making them interchangeable within a single project.
All ULAMEX fence products are manufactured under EN 1090 certification and comply with European quality standards. We supply fence profiles and posts as well as fence accessories and mounting hardware -- everything needed for a complete installation. As an EN 1090 certified supplier, we provide full material documentation on request.

Residential properties
Front yard fences, garden boundaries and terrace privacy screens for single-family homes, villas and residential estates. Horizontal slat designs are the dominant choice in contemporary architecture.
Commercial and hospitality
Perimeter fencing for office buildings, hotels, restaurants and retail parks. Aluminium fences provide a premium appearance without ongoing maintenance costs.
Public and institutional
Schools, parks, healthcare facilities and municipal buildings. Modern fence systems meet high wind-load requirements while maintaining an open, contemporary aesthetic.
Industrial perimeters
Secure boundary fencing for warehouses, logistics centres and production sites. Steel-based systems offer additional rigidity for high-security applications.

Frequently Asked Questions
What material are ULAMEX modern fence systems made of?
Our fence systems are manufactured primarily from aluminium alloy EN AW-6063 T6 -- the industry-standard alloy for architectural and fencing extrusions. This alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance, good mechanical strength and is ideally suited for powder coating. Steel fence components are made from S235JR structural steel, powder-coated for weather protection. Both material lines are available in the same RAL colour palette.
What colours are available for aluminum fences?
The standard palette includes RAL 7016 (anthracite grey -- the most popular choice), RAL 9005 (jet black), RAL 7035 (light grey) and RAL 9006 (white aluminium/silver). For wholesale orders, any RAL colour can be produced on request. Anthracite RAL 7016 dominates the European market due to its timeless, neutral appearance that complements both modern and classic architecture.
Is an aluminum privacy fence maintenance-free?
Yes. Powder-coated aluminium does not rust, does not require repainting and does not rot. A standard polyester powder coating of 60 microns or more provides excellent UV resistance and colour stability for 20+ years. Periodic cleaning with water is sufficient to maintain the original appearance. This makes aluminium fencing a genuinely low-maintenance solution compared to timber or untreated steel alternatives.
Can the fence system be self-assembled?
ULAMEX fence systems are designed for modular self-assembly. Posts are set in concrete foundations or bolted to existing walls using base plates. Slats and rails are fixed to posts using bracket clips and self-drilling screws -- no welding or specialised tools are required. Detailed mounting instructions are available on request. For large-scale projects, our technical team can advise on optimal post spacing, panel dimensions and wind-load considerations.
Aluminum fence vs steel fence -- which is better?
Aluminium fences are lighter, fully corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free, making them the preferred choice for residential and architectural applications. Steel fences are heavier and more rigid, offering greater mechanical strength for security-critical or high-wind installations. Both are powder-coated and available in the same RAL colours. ULAMEX supplies both material lines, allowing you to select the optimal balance of weight, strength and budget for your project.
Does ULAMEX supply complete fence sets?
Yes. We supply all components needed for a full installation: system posts, horizontal or vertical slats, cross-rails, post caps, mounting brackets, self-drilling screws, base plates and gate hardware. All parts are colour-matched and supplied from stock. For large projects, we prepare detailed cut lists and quantity calculations on request.
How wind-resistant are louvered fences?
The wind resistance of a fence depends on slat spacing, post dimensions and foundation depth. Horizontal slat fences with gaps between lamellae allow partial airflow, significantly reducing wind load compared to solid panels. For exposed locations, we recommend 100x100 mm posts with concrete foundations at a maximum spacing of 2,000 mm. Our technical team can advise on system selection for specific wind-load zones.
Does ULAMEX offer privacy fences at wholesale terms?
Yes. ULAMEX is a specialist B2B wholesaler serving fence contractors, building material distributors, architects and property developers. We offer competitive wholesale pricing, volume discounts and project-based quotations. Contact us for a non-binding quotation including delivery time and availability.
