EN 1090-1 EXC2 Certificate
EN 1090-1 in execution class EXC2 is the European standard for CE marking of structural steelwork under the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR, Regulation 305/2011). ULAMEX conformity is supervised by a European notified body within the Factory Production Control (FPC) scheme, regularly recertified and confirmed through surveillance audits. ISO 3834-2 Certificate
ISO 3834-2 defines comprehensive quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials, covering welding coordination, qualification of personnel and procedures, material inspection and documentation. Unlike a generic ISO 9001 system, ISO 3834-2 is a sector specific standard that directly governs the particular processes of welded fabrication. ULAMEX deliberately operates the targeted combination of EN 1090-1 and ISO 3834-2 rather than ISO 9001, because these two standards are stronger and more meaningful for structural steelwork and load bearing components.
Mill Test Certificate EN 10204 3.1
The inspection certificate EN 10204 3.1 documents the chemical composition, mechanical properties and full traceability of a specific material heat back to the steel mill, including the heat or batch number. It is validated by an authorised mill inspector independent of the production department and is typically mandatory for static calculations, pressure equipment and certifying bodies. For ULAMEX orders we provide the works certificate 2.2 as standard at no extra charge. A 3.1 certificate is ordered on request directly from the mill and supplied without surcharge on larger tonnage orders.
CE Declaration of Performance (DoP)
The CE Declaration of Performance (DoP) is legally required for all construction products covered by EN 1090 and states the product performance against the harmonised standard. We issue DoP copies per order and per line item in PDF format, matched to the delivered heats and to the CE marking applied to the material, so your site file and structural approval documentation is complete from day one of the project.
CBAM Context
The EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM, Regulation 2023/956) enters its full operational phase on 01.01.2026, obliging importers of certain goods to report embedded emissions and purchase CBAM certificates. ULAMEX ships from Poland (EU origin) and sources steel from compliant EU mills, so no CBAM obligation arises for EU buyers. CBAM reports and origin declarations are available on request for buyers importing into the EU.
